Services
We start with what you need. Moving only, or also storage, packing, or junk disposal? Any special-handling items? Target dates?
Place
Then we learn about the property. House or apartment, number of bedrooms, how many stories, finished basement, garage, attic.
Access
Next we cover the logistics. Biggest truck that can park, distance from truck to door, elevator or stairs, and the terrain along the way.
Inventory
Finally we walk through what's being moved. Every major item, plus an honest read on how many boxes you'll end up with.
You get a detailed estimate
Once we have the full picture, we put together a clear, itemized estimate. You can be confident we've covered everything, because we asked about everything.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
Pricing depends on timing and service level. You'll land on the higher end of the range if your move falls during peak periods: summer months, end-of-month dates (the 24th through the 3rd), Fridays or Saturdays, or if you need premium services like full packing. Outside of those windows, expect the lower end.
Typical price ranges:
- Small moves (less than a full apartment, single room, etc.): $500 to $800
- One-bedroom apartments: $800 to $1,300
- Two-bedroom homes: $1,300 to $2,500
- Three-bedroom homes and larger: $2,500 to $5,000
It depends on when you're moving:
- Standard weekday, off-season: 7 days' notice is usually fine
- Friday or Saturday (off-season): book at least 20 days ahead
- Summer weekday: book at least 30 days ahead
- Summer Friday or Saturday: book 45 days in advance
Yes. We have an extensive network of partner five-star movers, which gives you flexibility and savings. If you want to share truck space with another customer's shipment, we almost always have a partial-load opportunity available. It's a great way to cut costs. Our pricing stays competitive because we rarely come back empty; other moving companies like working with us, so we usually line up return loads too.
If you'd rather not share, we also offer exclusive, dedicated-truck service. That means only your belongings are on the truck, even if there's extra space.
Our standard service covers pretty much everything discussed during your estimate, and then some. That includes packing as described, moving blankets, furniture assembly and disassembly, power tools, dollies, the truck, the crew, and straps.
What isn't included are surprises. If you tell us the kitchen will be packed and we arrive to find it isn't, that'll be an additional charge. We believe it's our job to ask the right questions upfront rather than assume anything, so just be realistic with us about what's packed and what isn't. That way your quote stays accurate.
Weekends are our busiest time, and yes, we move any day of the week, including Sundays and holidays. Just keep in mind that holidays are our most expensive days.
For evenings, small moves can start as late as 6 PM, and we'll stay until 9 PM if needed. Our dispatch builds in buffer time, so most of our moves wrap up by 7 PM. This applies to both local and out of the state moves.
Office or commercial move?
Same crew, same trucks, different playbook. Commercial relocations across the DMV bring three things residential moves usually don't.
Certificates of insurance
Most office buildings require a COI from your mover 48-72 hours ahead with specific liability and workers-comp limits. We send them direct to property management before move week and follow up to confirm receipt.
Freight elevator + after-hours
Most commercial moves run after hours or on weekends to avoid tenant disruption. We reserve the freight elevator window directly with building management and coordinate dock access so the truck is loaded the moment we arrive.
IT, cubicles, and specialty
Workstation disassembly, cubicle reconfiguration, and server-rack moves with anti-static handling. We coordinate with your IT lead on what gets powered down and when, and tag every piece so it lands at the new desk.
