Federal contractor couple downsizing from a McLean estate to a Verse three-bedroom. Building required COI 5 days ahead, reserved 9 AM to 12 PM weekday dock window, concierge-coordinated freight elevator access. Couple had a curated contemporary art collection (15 pieces) and a Steinway baby grand.
How we handled it
Filed the COI a week ahead. Reserved the dock and freight elevator window at booking. Dispatched a 26-foot truck and a four-person crew. Custom-crated each art piece with archival foam. Disassembled the Steinway baby grand at the action and moved through the freight elevator. Eight-hour move, no damage to the new floor-to-ceiling windows or the original McLean estate's parquet flooring.
